A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of introducing Lucy Adams at the Public Sector People Management Association where Lucy inspired us all with her insights on the future of HR. I have been working with Lucy over the past couple of years and the conversations we have had have been instrumental in helping me shape my thinking about how to best support the organisations design and the principles for supporting the integration of the support service functions from East Sussex and Surrey County Councils to create Orbis – the biggest shared service in local government.
I was delighted to be asked by Suzanne Hudson, Senior Advisor on Workforce Strategy with the LGA to do a short video blog with Lucy where we talk about the changing landscape of organisations over the next 10 or 15 years and how that is going to impact upon organisational performance.
